The Beliefs And Concepts Of Spirituality Metaphysics

By Mark West

While some individuals believe in only a physical world, others believe in two worlds. One which is based in the physical presence and another, which lies outside the physical realm. Most often, those whom believe in a spiritual world refer to this place as heaven, or in some cases, the other side. While spirituality metaphysics proposes a view of the combination of these two worlds as one, there is no clear definition of the term.

In most cases, New Age beliefs are not tied to any specific religious organizations or perspectives. In fact, most people involved in these practices maintain a pantheist point of view in which God is, and can be found in everything. Whereas, metaphysics refers to the concept of ultimate reality with regards to the fundamental concepts of existence.

Spiritual is a more familiar term often used to refer to the non-physical aspects of life. Whereas, the metaphysical and spiritual aspects combined suggest life is a spiritual rather than physical experience. For, most New Age practitioners believe when living from a spiritual perspective, life will be far more enjoyable than when living from the physical aspect.

New Age practitioners often adhere to the belief in a uniform reality in which all people are part of the same ultimate truth. In fact, the viewpoint all are one and one are all was born out of this belief system. While theological and philosophical ideologies can become intertwined with this belief system, the terms still hold different definitions and objective boundaries.

When it comes to the metaphysical aspects of the Universe, these concepts can often be difficult to comprehend. It often becomes easier when individuals begin to understand that spiritual metaphysics is the study of human existence outside the physical realm. Whereas, in understanding that the spiritual realm is one in which physical capabilities, senses, research, technology or the physical body does not exist also helps in understanding the difference between these two planes of existence.

Ancient religions and spiritual beliefs have attempted though yet failed to explain the human spiritual experience. For, almost all religions have arisen from an illusion related to the separation of body and soul. Whereas, in most cases, individuals still recognize physical and spiritual selves as separate beings being separate and apart from one another, God and the physical universe.

When looking at life from this perspective, it is easy to become disconnected from God, and spirit. For, the life force many see as God, often gets lost. At which time, it can often become more difficult to understand the purpose of human kind here on earth.

As researchers and scientists delve even deeper into reality and attempt to explain the truth of human existence, many begin to see the non-physical or spiritual world as reality. For, the line between the physical and spiritual worlds appears to be becoming thinner on an ongoing basis. At which time, it becomes easier to see how all beings are connected in different ways.

As all things are connected in one way or another, these concepts of separation are clearly man-made definitions people have used to describe different aspects of the human mind. Whereas, metaphysics and spirituality have brought human kind closer to understanding how all things are connected. As a result, individuals are now learning that while there may be differences between body, mind and spirit, all are connected, and not only to oneself but the world at large.
